Finally, finally I can breathe in some fresh air and got some free time to post photos of outfits from my last trip to California. At first it seemed like its too late for that, but, considering that I’ve been so busy here in New York for the last month and a half that I feel like I returned from Los Angeles just yesterday, I think sharing my West Coast style with you is the right thing to do. Hope you like it!
The first outfit is today, three more to go… Stay tuned!
Even though every time I fly to LA I take at least two pairs of heels with me, I usually wear flats most of the time and my style is extremely laid back overall. This trip wasn’t an exception and it also brought an opportunity to try a new pair of Birkenstock shoes, actually the very first one in my collection. The perfect addition to the California style, isn’t it?
Frankly, I was very hesitant about buying these sandals, but I, totally unexpectedly, fell in love with them! I also think this is the most suitable model for narrow feet like mine (in narrow width, of course), so keep it in mind if you want to buy a pair of Birkenstocks too, but are afraid they'd be too huge for you.
As for the nautical vibe of this outfit, this is my casual approach to the one of the top trends of the Resort 2014 Collections. You can do it, too, and there is no need to buy something new. Just pull some stripes and signature colors together, and you’ll rock it, girls!
I'M WEARING »»» TURTLENECK SWEATER: Tommy Hilfiger (similars here and here); CAMO JACKET: Vila (great affordable options here, here, here and here); LEATHER PANTS: Asos (mine’s out of stock, but I love similars here, here¸ here and here); SHOES: Birkenstock (in leather like mine: here (in black and two more colors) and here (two sizes on sale); in birko-flor: here, here¸ here and here); BAG: Calvin Klein (same in black here, very similar CK in red here and here); BEANIE: Neff (here, here and on sale here); WATCH: Tommy Hilfiger (beautiful and very similar on sale here); RINGS: Asos (pretty Asos options here, here and here); NAIL POLISH: Brucci 439 Ann’s “Red On" (similar reds here and here)
